I can confidently say that God delights in every detail of our lives.

Warning, you may laugh. You may cry.

But at the end of the story—or whether you read it or not—my prayer is that you not only feel encouraged but confidently and victoriously know that you are seen and beloved by God.

Sometimes this is the only proper response. Complete surrender, reverence, awe, and love poured out to Him.

I have prayed, and asked the LORD, to make me like Mary in that she knew she could run to Him, that she could sit at His feet and listen, that she could pour out all of her love, tears, perfume, and not one drop would be wasted nor unseen. The extravagance is worth it because He is worth it. He is worthy.

I’ll admit that it’s not always easy to run to Him. Especially in the midst of hardship or confusion. There’s that temptation to try to handle it on my own or future it out myself (how silly of me). I can be more like a stubborn donkey than Mary, let alone more like Jesus (the ultimate goal of Whose likeness to take after).

But in every step, in every way I release control and surrender, the more peace I find. The more I trust Him. And, He has never stopped pursuing my heart. He Is kind, patient, and gentle. My heart began to melt and soar all at once as I was singing to Him.

Jesus— Who else has the words of life? Who else beholds the key to peace? Of wholeness? Of joy? Of victory and hope? The purest of love? Only Jesus. He is Holy, and oh, so worthy of our worship.

I love when God speaks through the every day things we do. I was filling up my muffin tin cups with the batter, bent down to be at eye level with the muffin tray. And in a moment, He whispered a truth in my heart— how we can see Him, His love, and a call to encourage and love people just as I was in the kitchen baking muffins!

I always hope and pray you feel encouraged and seen (and even challenged) today as you watch, listen, and read this.

You are seen.
You are loved.
He is near.
I pray Jesus fills your cup up to overflow as you read this!

“For the joy that lay before Jesus, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

Jesus knew he had suffering to endure here on earth, but He had His focus on the joy set before Him.

What was His joy? Obeying His Father. Making a way to bring us into His house as His children. Restoring relationship with Him. Setting us free!

We become what we behold. And I think we so easily get entangled and ensnared in the wrong things because we’re focusing on them so much! We’re becoming what we behold.

But what if, today, it was different? ☀️

What if today you focus your eyes on Jesus? What if you make Jesus the Joy set before you? He is indeed the Author and the Finisher of our faith. The Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith.

When you keep your eyes on Him, the Author of your faith (and your life!), the outcome will be that your faith will increase! You become what you behold!

I believe the Lord wants to encourage us all on this beautiful Monday morning — or whatever day it is when you read this— to lift up our eyes to Him. For He is where the Joy is! And, if Jesus had His focus on the joy of before Him, even with the suffering and shame, He set the example for us to do the same. We can do it because He showed us it’s possible. You can do it, friend!

“Soli Deo Gloria” ~ To God Alone Be the Glory. It’s more than a phrase or a little saying. It’s a heart posture. Because it is an absolute honor to use the gifts that God has given us to *give* to people and bless Him and give back to Him! It’s worship unto Him. And I think it blesses His heart when we are filled with joy, thanking Him, shining for Him, and blessing others. I know I’m filled to overflow when I serve Him in this way with this amazing community of Christ-loving creatives, family, and friends. What a joy 🙌🏻🤍 Thank You, Lord!

My mom is the kindest person you’ll meet. Full of joy, strength, fun, laughter, love, she radiates the beauty, wisdom, and light of God. She is caring and intentional. She is true, steady, and steadfast. Humble, adventurous, and exquisite. Her love for God, the Word, and talking with Him are contagious. My mom has the biggest and most beautiful, faithful heart.

I love you so very much, Mommy🤍 I pray you feel so very loved and special on your 60th birthday. The world is a much more beautiful and bright place because you are in it, carrying His love and grace in every way. ☀️

God truly blessed me with you as my mom! I am so thankful for you and how’s you have lived your life in such a way that keeps Him first and walks in humility, faithfulness, patience, love and grace. I want to be like you when I grow up!🤍

This song sounds as though it came straight from the woman found in Luke 7.

The one who found herself in the same proximity of Jesus.
The one who knew she was a sinner.
The one who found herself at the feet of Jesus, with a full of jar of priceless perfume and a heart full of tears and thankfulness.
The one who let go of everything to give all she had to Jesus.

Can you imagine having enough tears to wash someone’s feet? Perhaps you have shed that many and more - maybe it was from pains of life, the relief of His forgiveness and kindness, or all the above. All tears matter to Him.

“You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.”
Psalm 56:8

What a kind, tender, generous God.

Exchange: an act of giving one thing and receiving another.

I pause and I remember everything He did for me.
{deep breath in}

Everything He did so that I could live.
Be forgiven.
Experience His Spirit and Presence and the oil of His anointing and gladness and joy.
Experience His peace.
Experience His plans.
Experience Him.

No greater love has anyone than Him.
(John 15:13)

I believe the woman realized the weight of this truth and responded with the only fitting exchange:

All of me for all of You.

I am in awe of You and what you chose to do for me in Your perfect love.
You know me, and yet You didn’t judge me.
You bore the verdict of death and the judgement that was mine, and in doing so, I was giving the verdict of life. Of not guilty.
Pure.
Made new.
Whole.
Forgiven.
Free.

How could I not respond by giving Him everything? My everything would still not be enough. He is worthy of everything and more. He made the Great Exchange, and no greater love has anyone than Him.

“Jireh” | A Worship Session 🤍

One of my very favorite things to do is play the piano and worship in my cozy little living room. My *especially* favorite time of the day to play my piano is when the golden-hour light shines through my window, beaming into my cozy, little room, filling it with warmth and my heart with a grateful song! ☀️

Today I felt led to sing “Jireh” - a song all about God, His faithful, generous character, and His provision. It’s straight out of Matthew 6, where Jesus is teaching us how to not worry about our life and to not be anxious.

Sometimes, it’s easier said than done. The worries of life can feel all consuming and never ending. What do we do then?

The cure: To seek Him first. To worship. To trust. To perseveres. To choose Him today and every single day. To come to Him. To cast every worry and care at His feet, and to trust that He will always take care of us and love us. What a good Heavenly Father we have.

I believe there’s someone out there praying, crying out to the Lord for His provision in their life. This song is for you. He sees you, friend, and oh, how much more does He love you!

Jireh, You are enough.
Jireh, You are enough.
And I will be content in every circumstance.
Jireh, You are enough.

Forever enough.
Always enough.
More than enough.

If He dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor, how much more will He clothe you?
How much more with He clothe you?

Do you look more like your mom or your dad?

For those of you who know my family, you know that I favor my mom — I look more like my Dutch mom than I do Italian dad! Once, we took a B&W baby picture of my mom and one of me and placed them side by side… many people got us swapped for the other!

Now, think about this Scripture verse. Think about Jesus. The Son, Jesus, is the radiance of the Father’s glory and the exact expression of His nature. Wow. Jesus is a spitting image of the Father. How powerful is that. “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father,” Jesus said to Philip in John 14.

Jesus prayed in John 17 that we would know that he and the Father are one. And that when we believe in Jesus as the Son then we, too, get to be in union with the Father.

“I am in them [believers in Jesus] and You are in me, so that they may be made completely one, that the world may know You have sent me and have loved them as You have loved me. ”
‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭23‬ ‭CSB‬

Maybe you are seeking God or you want to know the Father more. The answer? Look at Jesus. Look at His character, what He loves, what makes His heart break, how He heals, how He’s moved with love and compassion so deep it changed the world for all time. And more. Ask and allow the Father to reveal Himself to you through the Word - His Son - the beautiful radiance of His glory & exact likeness of His nature!

So, if you are in Christ, what does that mean for you? We are in Christ and He in us, and He in the Father… we are one! Unity. Nothing can separate you from His love nor snatch you from His hand. You, too, behold the radiance of the Son, the glory of the Father. You carry His presence. You are a light, a city on a hill. Don’t hide your light, friend.

“Let your light shine for others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Shining is a result of carrying the Light of the world in your heart, the radiant Son which always reveals the glory of God. Don’t be afraid or let insecurity sneak in. Shine bright His love and the nature of His character to all you meet! And when you do, people will look at you and say, “You look like your Father!

“Avinu Malkeinu” - “Our Father, Our King”

This was one of the most powerful moments in worship from our Shabbat service in April - we declare that God is our Source, Sustainer, Protector, Provider, and that we love Him. We finish by declaring His greatness in all the earth. It truly was a holy moment... I’m still in awe. Here are some of the lyrics:

For all that we need we will rely on our Father and our King.
In joy and in sorrow, our hope for tomorrow is our Father and our King.

I’m back in Frisco!

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:”

Living in Grapevine last year was truly a gift and so amazing. It was right where I needed to be for the season, and God is so good to have allowed me to be there to grow more and more. I’m truly so grateful for the Grapevine season! 🍇

And now, God has brought me back to my hometown and close to loved ones and my roots again…and again, I find myself grateful and blown away by His goodness and faithfulness.

Did you know that God delights in every detail of our lives? Yes, He who orchestrates life’s beautiful dances and weaves together each season. He has made His dwelling place among us. Yes, He is good. Wow. He chose to make His home with us, chose to let His throne rest an upon the praises of His people. Even as I have moved and changed zip codes, He remains and dwells with and in me. He is good.. no matter the season - summer, autumn, winter, or spring. When things are good. When things are trying. When things don’t seem to come together. When everything is feels smooth. His goodness is constant. His peace surpasses all understanding. His love is unfailing. His faithfulness is unwavering. God is good all the time, and all the time, God is good.

There’s no place like home!

Praise You, God!!

☀️🤍 2024: Brave & Steward

These are the words God placed on my heart as I was praying about entering into 2024. At the beginning, of this year, I didn’t know how these words would work together. The words almost felt as though they contradicted each other in a way. Like, be brave & go on adventures!! ~ but stewarding almost has a sense of boundaries and limitations. But, as I write this, I see how it is a very limited, almost one-dimensional perspective on what those words meant. What they would unfold and become is part of the journey of 2024.

How easy it is to limit God or place expectations on a year. When I heard the word “brave” a part of me knew it would mean moving out into my own place! But I didn’t know “brave” would also mean because everything in your world of church and work is going to change. When I heard the word “steward” perhaps I thought it meant stewarding finances for the times I would travel or when I’d move out. But I didn’t know “steward” would also mean stewarding the voice of the LORD as He spoke - would I be obedient? Would I manage well what I heard Him say and ask me to do? Would I be a brave steward? These are just tip-of-the-iceberg examples.

The year is almost over and new words will come (I’m excited!). But I’m so, so thankful for the LORD speaking these words at the beginning of the year to ANCHOR me through the year and to the end! God helped me to learn what it means to be brave and to be a steward this year.

I want to encourage you: ask the LORD for a word for 2025. He will be faithful to speak! I can say this because I have lived it year after year. And, keep the word on the forefront of your mind and as you navigate the year WITH God! I can’t tell you how many times I went back to those words as I was making decisions throughout the year, and how God used those words to speak and confirm things for me to let me know it was Him guiding me.

“Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light into my path.” Ps 119:105

I encourage you to humbly allow God speak a better word over you & this upcoming year. He knows the plans He has for you (Jeremiah 29:11)! He is good, faithful, beautiful, & true ~ Jesus, the Word made flesh

Life Update 🤍

My season with the Gateway Ministry Experience (GME) has come to an end. A beautiful end, like a lovely sunset.

The last three years, I have had the joy of meeting and walking with over 150 residents. I have seen God move mightily ~ work miracles, restore marriages, heal wounds, provide abundantly, establish community, open doors, learn the beauty of Sabbath, and so much more! He brought beautiful people from all over the world - locally, in state, nationally, and internationally (Finland, Germany, Costa Rica, Canada, Puerto Rico, to name a few!). I have made incredible relationships (Mary Jo... I love you so much!). I have heard so many wonderful teachings in this program. I have even been able to teach & worship a few times, too (such a blessing!)! I have seen God use GME to, as we always say, “get His hands on the hearts of the residents.” The residents that have gone through this program give 4 months of their lives - their time, their resources - to be poured into and grow and really just let God do a powerful work in their hearts. I am blown away every semester on how people walk into the program one way and then God does the work as they submit their hearts to Him. (I share these stats to brag on God!)

The faith it takes to give four months to this program always inspires me. I’ve seen the sacrifice it requires. And what God does on the other side of faith and our surrendered “yes” is amazing. I just want to honor every resident that has gone through GME! I’m so proud of you. And it’s been one of the greatest joys getting to know you all and cheer you on as you all take steps forward with Him in ministry - whether it’s in the building of the church or not. You are the Church, and you carry His heart and presence wherever you go. Keep saying “yes” to Him!

I now find myself entering into a new season and it requires a new level of faith.

My sweet friend Annie in the window seat tapped my shoulder. I took my earphones out as she said, “Tori, I think those clouds in the distance… I think those are the Northern Lights.”

I leaned over in my seat, squinted my eyes at what looked merely like wispy fog clouds in the distance. Nothing magical about it.

“I’m not sure I’m seeing what you’re seeing, Annie.” I paused and looked as deeply as I could. “Yeah, I’m sorry, I don’t see it.”

About ten minutes passed, and I hear Annie with excitement in her voice, “Tori, it’s the Northern Lights!”

“What!” I leaned over again to see a brilliant green river in the sky. My eyes were not deceived any longer. Those wispy clouds were, indeed, the Northern Lights that many long to see in their lifetime.

I looked around to tell my other travel companions to look out the window if they could! But lo, I saw many sleeping. Many watching a movie. I wanted to shout, “Look, it’s the Northern Lights!” But, I didn’t want to disturb anyone (which, on a long evening flight where people are trying to sleep is a wise call).

My eyes gazed out the window as the lights danced in the sky. What a wonder, and my eyes are seeing it! How wonderful. My heart worshipped God, the Creator, Who perfectly timed His creation for us to see, and creation always to points back to the Creator.

It’s a really beautiful thing when God reveals His glory in a rare way. I wish all of us one the plane got to look out the window to behold it, to eventually behold Him.

The beautiful thing about God is that He is not a secret. His glory fills the sky and His image is on us. He is not passing light in the sky nor shifting as like shadow. He is the Light of the world. He is constant. He is Truth.

As I reflect on this moment, I wonder what would have happened if everyone on the plane was awake and saw the lights. How would we have responded? I imagine with oohs, ahhs, and wows. What if the whole plane applauded? What if we worshipped? I can only imagine…

I pray we awake from our sleep to behold the LORD in His glory. To turn our eyes from what is worthless to He who is worthy. To gaze upon the beauty and glory of God and be united in Him.

I always hope and pray that the God speaks to you through these videos - that you’re encouraged, challenged, and left with hope and truth. 🫶🏻

Walking down this street made me feel like I was living in Mary Poppins for a moment. It was practically perfect ….❤️

While you’re here, I can tell you what is practically perfect in every way: The love of God!

Before you scroll away, it can be easy to let your mind and heart grow numb to the perfect love of God. Maybe it’s something you have heard being raised in the church. Or maybe it’s something you have heard but don’t think you have experienced it.

It is the love of God that you are alive and breathing.
It is the love of God that sent His Son to save us. Jesus, or “Yeshua,” means “God saves.”
It is the love of God that is perfect and casts out every fear, lie, and doubt.
It is the love of God that is perfectly patient and kind with us…for Love is patient and kind.
It is the love of God that redeems us.

I go back and read the list again, and I start to replace “love” with other words like “mercy.” “Grace.” “Justice.” “Kindness.”

That’s humbling. It’s His perfect love and mercy that we can even have relationship with Him.

May I never lose the wonder of Your perfect love, mercy, grace, justice, kindness of God. I think of how He demonstrated what perfect love looks like through His Son. How often…how effortless it is to fall into the opposite of love.

And that’s why we need Him.

“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

That is practically, positively perfect in every way. ❤️

I’m grateful to be loved by Love. By a perfect God. Who never fails. Never breaks a promise. Never lies. Forgives. Saves. Redeems. Restores. Establishes. Provides. Sees. I could go on and on.

I pray you receive His perfect love today.❤️

Soaking up the last little bit of summer sun. ☀️ I’m learning something: Life moves so quickly, and there is a season for everything.

Stick with me in these Ecclesiastes thoughts for just a moment.

People and seasons come and go. (And that’s okay. That’s normal and part of life.)

But this I know: Jesus never leaves.

Jesus was, is, and always will be.

Ве. (deep breath)

To be. Do you feel the peace in that?
No fretting about the future. No aches about the past. Just be…being.

If you’re still here reading this, I believe Jesus wants you to hear this from Him: “I AM here.”

He is the Gift. His presence is the present.

I AM is present tense, and that is who He is. “I AM that I AM.” (Exodus 3)

Our Emmanuel ~ here with us.
The Great I AM ~ present with us.
The Living Hope ~ the One who never changes, nor lies.

How many times have I simply forgotten that He is with me always? (Matthew 28) How often I have done this, it’s embarrassing. And I desire to grow.

But then there’s the Psalm 27:8 moment:

“My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me,’ and my heart responds, ‘LORD, I am coming.’”

I hear You and I’m here, God.

“Being” is more simple than we realize.

Thank You, God, for being with me always. My Prince of Peace. God, may I never forget that you are here. And help me to hear You when You call. May I just BE with You and know that You are LORD, resting in the shadow of Your comfort and kindness. I love You.

“Let love be your highest goal!” 1 Corinthians 14:1a NLT)

I believe that God has placed something inside of you to bless the people around you! What does that look like, or what could that look like for you? How can we be intentional to love the people God places in our paths? 🤍

My hope and prayer always is that you are encouraged (even challenged)! 🫶🏻

Sōma Women’s Encounter was so special. The night was all about worshipping God as our Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Our Daily Bread. He is the God who sees and “sees to it.” He is the God of Amen!! (Such a powerful word, Ps @tony_melissa_herring!)

This is a glimpse of one of the sweetest moments of worship during the ministry time — the ladies could worship, get prayer, go to the altar… really just respond to Him! We really just want Jesus! To seek His face. To love Him. To thank Him for inviting us to His table and providing for us…

This is my mom. A light always pointing to Jesus! My “sunshine mom” - carrier of radiance, joy, humility, wisdom, and strength. She oozes love everywhere she goes to all she meets. She really is amazing (I could write so much more!)!

I love celebrating you, Mom, and I am so thankful to God that He gave me you as my mommy. I love you with all my heart! Happy birthday!! 🤍

One of my favorite roads to drive down during golden hour…the way the sunlight flickers through the leaves of the trees arching into each other… my heart leaps!☀️ I can’t help but smile and thank Him! It’s the little things. I have tasted and seen of His goodness in so many ways…. Anyways. It’s a beautiful, wonderful thing to serve a good, good God.

Abby and I and the amazing opportunity to lead worship at a church in El Salvador. It was a mighty moment worshipping the Mighty God! The anthem of the song proclaims His honor, majesty, power and authority! That He is the Lamb of God, our mighty, mighty God!

Yes, it was such a dream come true to worship in the beautiful language of Spanish; but, even more beautiful is hearing the praises of His people. Even on a night with pouring rain in the mountains of El Salvador, God saw and heard His precious people and poured out His powerful, beautiful Spirit on everyone in the room. Amazing is an understatement.

My heart is so full of thankfulness for this special moment of worship unto Him!

The sunset from the mountains of El Salvador!!🥹🇸🇻

Our team was on the bus going to a church service in Comasagua, driving up the mountain. I found myself longing to see glimpses of the sunset! We could see little bits here and there. There was fog everywhere. But then there was this moment! And I happened to be filming! 😭 oh how the whole bus lost their breath and said, “Wow! Did you see that!”

“Adonai our Lord, how excellent is Your Name over all the earth! You set Your splendor above the heavens.”

YES! God, thank You for showing Your glory to us. I’m always blown away by You! I don’t take the little or big sunsets for granted… they’re a love language to me. It’s an “I love you, Tori” to me! And when I see a beautiful one like this… I just find myself saying, “There You go again, God! Thank You! I love You!”

What a holy moment. Abby & I got to lead a moment of worship on a Wednesday night service at an amazing church in El Salvador. It was pouring rain! But that did not stop the Church from coming together to lift the name of Jesus! I can’t describe how beautiful it was to hear the voices singing to Him how holy and worthy He is! No matter what. I’m just filled with so much awe & gratitude.

Abby, your heart to worship and adore God is so beautiful and I am overjoyed to have shared this getting to share this moment with you.

Comasagua, you are a beautiful church and your worship and heart is so pleasing to Him! I pray blessings over this city & church!

This trip was really special. I can’t even count how many incredible moments that God moved so powerfully. So many testimonies to the goodness and mercy of God. Salvation. Healing miracles. Prophetic words. Worship. Community. The presence of God. My heart is overwhelmed by how truly wonderful it was to see and be a part of God moving in here.

El Salvador is a beautiful country and the people are a treasure. 🤍 I hope I can come back one day soon.

To the best team…. each of you are amazing!! I love you all so much & couldn’t be more thankful to the LORD to have shared this very special time with you all. Thank you for pouring out your heart, encouraging other, sharing devos, opening up, and being you. Each of you operated in the confidence of Christ - I’m so inspired by you all.

Yaya, I’m so very thankful to have co-lead this trip with YOU! You are truly a gifted, anointed leader, so full of His love it oozes out of you! You’re amazing. Te quiero mucho, mi amiga.

Thank you for training us, translating for us, helping us get to each place, and doing what you do with such love, kindness, generosity, and boldness.
